What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments in pelegaggia.com blog posts, or enter details in our contact and subscription forms, this data is collected. The visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string is check to help spam detection and improve the security of the site.
If you have sufficient permission to upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. These formats allows any other visitor to download and extract any location data from the images that you have uploaded to the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

For shipping and premium courier services, we collect and analyze data to ensure that the produce arrives freshly, as quick as possible, to the correct destination
Who we share your data with
We do not, and do not have any profitable reason to, share your data without your stated permission. For example, if you choose shipping by DHL international express courier, then we will need to provide them with a destination and recipient for the produce.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. You can ask us to delete the comment and remove this data.
For users that register as clients on pelagaggia.com, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. You can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot your username – which can be anything provided no other user as the same username). However, our website administrators can also see this information and edit it for you.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax or security purposes.
